Tips to take great Photos

Fill the FRAME: Take your first shot and then move in close to really capture your subject

.Stay eye level to your subject, look your subject in the eye, don’t be afraid to kneel, squat, climb, or crawl to get the great shot.
- Use a plain back ground, avoid busy distracting features behind your subject.
- Use your flash outdoors to fill in shadows
- Move your subject from the middle, break your photo into three parts and play with having your subject in the three parts rather then always in the “bulls eye” middle.
- Use lines to draw your eye to your subject
- Know your flashes range, so you don’t over or under expose your portraits-.take test shots with your camera, walking closer & further away so that you learn its range.
8. Watch the light…it can change the whole mood of a portrait.
- Change your perspective, shoot from different angles
- Don’t be afraid to direct to create memorable pictures through posing and props

We get in our cars and just go cruising.
We hit all kinds of locations, just jumping around making your portraits extremly different from anyone else's.
The session last about 2 hours, maybe fudging a bit long at times depending on traffic.
You will end up with over 100 proofs to go through.
You can change clothes, bring friends, pets, cars...whatever suits your personality.
